recycled chito 'hi-count' athletic knit - black 1.875 yd

This is an exciting new addition to EOS, an eco-friendly and high-performing recycled chito athletic knit. This "hi-count" weight is substantial but very malleable with a bit of body in the drape. It is made from recycled post-consumer plastic bottles combined with biomass from crustaceans to create a naturally anti-microbial, odor-resistant and moisture wicking material that feels soft and breathable. 7 plastic bottles were diverted from the waste stream for each meter of this fabric! Chitosante fabric requires only 1/3 the energy of traditional polyester manufacturing processes and the supply chain requires no pesticides or herbicides. Also, the darker colors like this chito provide protection of about UPF 50. It has 30% stretch in both directions with excellent recovery and is opaque when not overstretched. The quality of the fabric is excellent and has many applications. This one is a jet black. Perfect for swimwear, rash guards, athletic wear, body-hugging tops, zip-up layering jackets, tees, tunics, leggings, undergarments, etc. Hand or machine wash cold with similar colors, hang to dry, iron low temperature (please test first). 1.875 yds.
