French metallic stripe cotton blend sweater knit - black/gray/gold 1.5 yd

This is a lovely sweater knit from French designer deadstock, medium-light weight with a soft drape and a very open weavethat makes it semi-sheer/semi-opaque. It is a simple knit with a broad stripe pattern running horizontally (4.75" vertical repeat). The yarns are black, white, light gray and gold lurex. The metallic threads add a festive touch that can go from day to evening. It has about 10% widthwise stretch and 30% lengthwise so you can easily cut your garment so that the stripes run lengthwise, or widthwise. Perfect for a drapey cardigan, pullover, top, tunic, etc. Layer over a tee, blouse or shirt for an upscale casual look. Test first if you wish to hand-wash, and lay flat to dry. 1.5 yds.
