Sourced from Italy, this Lor0 Piana deadstock rainwear is a phenomenal find! A super lightweight member of the Storm System® family of sophisticated, weather-resistant luxury fabrics, the face is a finely knitted 100% merino wool backed with a supple membrane (polyurethane) which is soft, comfortable and malleable. While the face is a very thin knit, the fabric is stable due to the backing. It is woven from sustainably sourced wool and its unique hydrophobic treatment repels water, but with breathability and a lightweight nature which allow for year-round wear. The color is a beautiful garnet (PANTONE 19-1862 is close), with subtle variegation running widthwise. An outstanding choice for a trench coat, classic raincoat, outerwear jacket, utility vest, etc. Lining can be added for extra warmth or substance.
