What a rare find! This is an exquisite lambswool/mohair blend sweater knit from Jasc0 Fabrics, which "back in the day" was a luxury knit supplier to all of the top designers. The company has closed (long time ago) but this vintage jewel came to us through designer deadstock. It is a soft featherweight with a slightly open knit stitch, in a wonderful mélange of earthy tones with charcoal greys for an overall impression of hazelnut (PANTONE 16-1310 and 17-1501 are close). It is semi-opaque yet cozy, with a soft but not flimsy drape. Highlights of mohair fibers float and mix with the hazelnut tone to create great visual depth and a texture that is almost like a boucle'. It has about 50% stretch in the width and 20% in the length, and very good recovery. A precious sweater knit fabric in warm neutral tones, this is perfect for a cardigan, wrap, scarf, pullover, etc. Dry clean or treat as you would any fine sweater knit.
