From Italian designer deadstock, this stunning tweedy wool blend boucle' features an intricate basketweave with metallic overprinting on just one side. It is a suiting weight with a soft hand and lovely drape with body. It has a partially open weave between the thicker yarns which makes this amazing fabric semi-opaque. The colors are a range of earthy tones including granite green, dark charcoal, acorn, sand, olive and winter white (PANTONE 18-5606, 17-0517, 18-1033, 13-1018, etc.). The side with overprinting is a shiny metallic silver when it catches the light. Use either side as the face, or a combination. The mix of thicker and thinner yarns create a beautiful cloth that can be fringed. It is perfect for a French Chanel-style jacket, suit, skirt, etc. Sophisticated and stunning!
