This is a wonderful poly/spandex velveteen knit with 20% stretch in the width only, and perfect recovery. It is medium-light weight and opaque with a soft, supple feel and a gorgeous drape. While it has a velvety hand, it does not have the pile or nap of a velvet. The "enchanting flora" velvet pattern is a steely grey on a black background (19.5" repeat), overprinted with metallic gold and accented with gold sparkles throughout (PANTONE 16-000 ish, 16-1320 is close to the gold tone, etc.). It can be dressed up or down, and is perfect for tops, tees, tunic, dress, special occasion separates, maxi dress, elastic waist pants, etc. Just fabulous! Manufacturer recommends hand wash, hang or lay flat to dry.
