Italian wool blend matelasse' woven - electric blue/friar

This is a wonderful 2-ply textured matelasse' woven just in from Italy, a coating weight with about 5% "give" in the width only. It has a slightly puckered surface texture without being scratchy or wooly, and the reverse is also very pretty (shown below). The extraordinary floral pattern is abstract and lyrical, and the yarn-dyed fibers feature an intricate weave of black, electric blue and friar/nutmeg/monk brown (PANTONE 19-3950, 19-1230). It is perfect for a fabulous special occasion jacket, coat, etc. Dry cleaning recommended.
