From Korea, this is a stunning pleated and printed metallic knit, light weight and sheer with a soft drape. The pleats run horizontally and will expand VERTICALLY with perfect recovery (the pleats are permanent), and your garment should be cut with the length of the pattern pieces going from selvedge to selvedge, so that the pleats will run lengthwise on your garment. There is about 30% horizontal stretch but it is stable, meaning that it only stretches if pulled, and about 60% vertical mechanical stretch from the widening of the pleats. The base fabric is a sheer mesh with gold metallic, and the print features a gorgeous vintage floral bouquet design (40.5 horizontal, 30.5 vertical repeat) in tones of magenta, cobalt, blush, limon, off black, etc. (PANTONE 18-2133, 19-4151, 12-1207, etc.) It is a special occasion fabric that is a perfect overlay for a tunic, top, dress, gown, maxi skirt, wide leg pants, etc. Hand wash, and hang to dry (please test first).
