famous designer nubby wool windowpane - charcoal 2 yd

From a very famous designer, this is a gorgeous nubby virgin wool blend windowpane plaid (2.5"H x 2.5"V repeat), a suiting/coating weight from Italy (Piacenza). It is highly textured, like a knotted rug, and is opaque with body in the drape. The colors are charcoal, black, tomato, winter white, powder blue and camel (PANTONE 18-0000, 18-1550, 15-1314, etc.), and it has a unique weave of thicker and thinner yarns to create the unusual surface texture which is the same on both sides. It is medium-heavy weight with body in the drape. It does have a certain "roughness" to it which feels good to some, perhaps may feel scratchy to others. Line with charmeuse or Bemberg to finish off your topper coat, jacket, vest, etc. Dry cleaning is recommended. 2 yds.
