Italian black/white cotton clipped weave

From Italy, this is a wonderful dress weight woven with a clipped jacquard design in black and white. The design has organic shapes in a random grid pattern -- the shapes look like some kind of cross between a shell, a faceted diamond and crochet netting, a really fascinating and intriguing graphic. It is a yarn dyed fabric (not a print), and the reverse shows the clipped fringes around the shapes. It is nearly opaque with some cottony body in the drape, and is perfect for a shirt, tunic, dress or skirt, etc. Dry clean or test first if you wish to hand wash, and hang to dry.
