Italian chunky novelty stitch wool blend sweater knit 2 yds

From a NY designer and made in Italy, this wonderful wool blend novelty stitch sweater knit features a wavy checkerboard design with a mix of thicker and thinner yarns actually woven through a knit base fabric, and using dropped stitches in some areas to help create the thick/thin checkerboard look (roughly 5"H, 7"V repeat). The knit is fairly chunky, yet the stitching is somewhat open in some areas. One side is more brushed (to Linda, the wrong side, to Monica, the right side, so you can choose!), while the other side has more color contrast (this is the side that is featured in the photos). The colors include espresso, soft blue, lighter sandy shades and sienna tones (PANTONE 19-1012, 17-4111, 17-1226, etc.). It has about 15% mechanical stretch in both directions but is very stable. Perfect for a very cool cardigan, soft jacket, pullover, etc. Dry cleaning recommended, or treat as you would any fine sweater knit. LAST PIECE, 2 yds.
