This exquisite sequinned lace comes from a NY designer and is even more beautiful in real life! The base fabric is khaki-toned guipure lace, embroidered all over with little silver disc sequins that have a beautiful soft sheen, to give it an antique silver metallic effect (PANTONE 15-4503-ish). The fabric is quite open yet substantial, and it has very ornate scalloped selvages on both sides. You can certainly cut your garment so that the scallops are at the hem or the neckline. There is body in the drape and it has a certain "heft" from the density of the applied sequins. It would make a stunning tunic, dress, jacket or skirt for a special occasion. Dry cleaning recommended.
