This is a fabulous novelty sweater knit, a yarn dyed knit in shades of soft white and ivory with black slubs that highlight the pattern variations. It also has a nubby dot texture, and clear sequins sewn on throughout (sporadically, not all over) to add a bit of sparkle and dimension. The repeat is 9.25", and although it has a lot going on, it is all very subtle, adding up to an intriguing and beautiful fabric design. It actually has more stretch in the length, so you will probably want to cut your garment going across the grain so that the chevron stripes run vertically, but since it's a stable knit, either direction will work. It has about 10% stretch in the width, about 25% in the length. It is medium-light weight and nearly opaque with some body in the drape. Make a special cardigan, tunic, kimono, sweater dress or skirt, pullover, etc. Manufacturer recommends hand or machine wash (gentle, in a mesh bag), lay flat to dry. (Please test first.)
