Italian textured terracotta/sky pleated fancy .66 yds

We first offered this beautiful fabric several years ago, and I recently saw that my supplier still had 14 yards left! Since pleated fabrics are very "in" right now, and I've always loved this fabric, and the price was nicely discounted (original price: $38.00/yd)... I grabbed it!! It's BEYOND amazing... First, the informal but rather tight pleating goes across the fabric from selvedge to selvedge, so you have a choice of how to lay out your pattern pieces, depending upon which direction you want the pleats to run. The gorgeous abstract montage design has a 27.5" vertical repeat. The pleating expands to about twice the distance (so 10" will expand to about 20", for instance). The colors are stunning: terracotta, sky blue, black, cinnamon, nutmeg, teal, etc. (PANTONE 17-4139, 19-1217, 18-1343, 16-5123, etc.). Use the pleating to softly hug the body in a very flattering, non-restrictive way. It's very drapey (especially with the pleating running vertically) and semi-sheer. Perfect for a simple top, blouse, dress, skirt, tunic, etc. Strategic placement of your pattern pieces (single layer layout is best) will result in a truly unique and stunning garment.
