From Italy, this wool fabric is absolutely stunning and sells for $95.00/yard in New York! It is a suiting/coating weight with a slightly nubby surface texture and a drape that has some body to it. The floral silhouette pattern has a mini-houndstooth weave of soft black and winter white, and the negative space areas are more of a solid charcoal black with a slightly heathered look. The selvedges are very attractive (a simple narrow band) and useful, and the opposite side is more gray in color, also very pretty. This exquisite fabric would be great for a lined or unlined coat or jacket, and could be draped or tailored. Also would make a wonderful suit, skirt or sheath dress. The weight is quite versatile!
