NY designer gold foil accordion plisse' 1.25 yd

Just in time for the holidays, this fabric is absolutely stunning--far more wonderful in real life! It's a tightly pleated silk/metallic blend in a dressy gold metallic color (PANTONE 15-0927 is a very rough approximation but with lots of shine). The pleating goes from selvedge to selvedge, which means that it expands LENGTHWISE, and which also means that in most cases you will want to cut your garment on the crossgrain. The top photo shows how it comes off the roll (selvedges east and west), the middle photo shows the selvedges north and south, and the bottom photo shows it draped out a bit on the floor with the tissue paper from the roll. Keep your design simple--the fabric is the star, and the pleats will expand out about 15-20%. There is lots of "bend" in the fabric along the pleats, but it's quite crisp across the pleats. Medium-light weight and opaque, and it's also identical on both sides! Make a very cool and modern top or tunic without much fuss! Dry clean only. 1.25 yds.
