deadstock black textured novelty weave

From designer deadstock and sourced in the USA, this is a beautiful and easy to wear novelty woven with fantastic texture. A similar impression to a shirred fabric or even a plisse, but with an interesting, irregular geometric pattern worked into the weave. It has about 10% give due to the crinkle texture in the width only. This universally flattering fabric would make an excellent "little black dress" for a cocktail party, special occasion or for your professional wardrobe. It's a lovely quality in a versatile light to medium weight and completely opaque. Sew anything from a dress or skirt, topper coat, lightweight jacket, etc. This fabric came to us with no content specified, but a burn test suggests mostly synthetic content with a smaller portion of natural fibers. Dry clean or test first if you wish to try hand or machine washing, hang to dry. Note the shorter width due to the crinkle textured.
