From designer deadstock of the famous brand, this is a wonderful, printed silk with a twill weave. It is lightweight yet opaque, smooth and stable in both directions with some crispness in the drape. The intricate 'aubergine medallion' design is printed on a light gold base which has a delightful sheen. Perfect for sewing a luxurious lining, blouse, shirt, etc. and it looks almost the same on the reverse so it would make a beautiful scarf or shawl. Dry cleaning is recommended, but if you wish to hand wash cool and lay flat to dry please test first.
