From French designer deadstock, this is a classic all-wool herringbone suiting in a beautiful ivory color. It has a dry textured hand and is stable in both directions. It is a more firm, medium suiting weight with body in the drape. Both sides of this fabric are attractive, but the face carries the distinctive herringbone weave (1.5" repeat) and the reverse is a flatter surface with a more subtle herringbone pattern. An excellent choice for a jacket, coat, suit, skirt, etc. Could be styled for either special occasion attire or everyday wear. Line with charmeuse or Bemberg for an elegant and classic look. Dry cleaning recommended.
