From French designer deadstock, this is a wonderful quality textured novelty knit. It is a substantial, stable and opaque doubleknit with body in the drape and about 10% stretch. The criss-cross basketweave design (3.375" repeat) is knitted in classic black, forming a 3-dimensional texture on the face with a plain knit stitch on the reverse. Note that this is knitted in a tube, so the dimensions are taken with the fabric doubled over as it is sold. You just cut it open at the fold (we'll include a sticker showing which side to cut, to make sure you're cutting it open on the correct fold, and not in the middle of the fabric!). It is perfect for a cardigan jacket, knit dress or skirt, knit suiting, etc. PLEASE TEST FIRST: Hand or machine wash cold, lay and flat to dry, or dry clean.
