Italian matelasse knit - scallop woodcut

This Italian beauty is from a NY designer and is a cotton/poly yarn-dyed, textured matelasse' knit. It has a scalloped woodcut-style design in black and white (mostly black on the reverse), and is soft and cottony with a slightly textured surface. The weight and drape are similar to a doubleknit with about 35% widthwise stretch, 15% lengthwise. Make a fabulous fitted dress, knit jacket, pencil skirt, knit suit, tunic, an upscale hoodie, etc. The drape has some body and the cotton blend is comfortable and versatile! Dry clean, or test first if you wish to hand or machine wash, and lay flat or hang to dry.
