From designer deadstock and made in Europe, this is a festive pleated dressweight, a light and smooth woven with about 10% stretch in the width. It is opaque and features a fantastic, intermittent stripe which runs widthwise in line with the pleats. The dazzling, metallic "white gold" stripes (6.75" vertical pattern repeat) shine brightly on the jet-black base. While the pleated construction offers some body, this fabric is softer and more drapey than your typical plisse and does not have crisp or firm characteristics. It skims against the body and will make a fun, swingy garment. An eye-catching style for holiday parties! Perfect for glamorous separates, a skirt or dress, topper coat, gown, etc. Dry clean only.
