From a Dutch manufacturer, this is truly a one-of a kind multi-yarn handwoven material with a 50/50 blend of viscose and cotton fibers. It has yarns of varying thicknesses and texture as well as fine metallic threads which provide an incredible amount of visual interest. This fabric is a heavier, outerwear weight, stable in both directions and semi-opaque due to its slightly open weave. It is even substantial enough to use as a throw rug with a rug pad. The drape is more firm with body. The selvages have no fringe and can be used at the hem or edge of your piece. Make an incredibly unique Chanel-style jacket, topper coat, lined winter coat, home decor, etc. Line with silk charmeuse or Bemberg for a beautiful finish. Dry cleaning recommended.
