Italian edgy abstract novelty pleated backed woven

This fabulous pleated fabric made in Italy comes from a NY designer and is backed with a lightweight fusible to keep the pleats in place and to add some body. The fabric is a lightweight poly woven and the pleats run widthwise as it comes off the roll, with print and pleats running horizontally. But we recommend cutting your garment across the grain so that the pleats and print run vertically, as shown in the second photo. The pleating is informal yet tight, and the texture is very eye-catching! The intriguing edgy abstract print has a 37.5" horizontal, 15.75" vertical repeat, and the colors are deep and rich shades of espresso, brick, teal and taupe (PANTONE 19-1102, 18-4718, 19-1338, 16-1210, etc.). This beauty is medium-light weight and opaque with body in the drape, and is perfect for a skirt, tunic, dress, jacket, kimono, etc. Dry clean, or please test first if you wish to hand wash.
