Scuba knit, (sometimes called neoprene, but it's constructed more for apparel than industrial use, so it's the weight of a doubleknit and it's not difficult to sew) seems to be very hot right now, and this very beefy 2-way stretch is a high-end, 3-layered version made from a top and bottom layer of thin viscose knit, with a spongy gray poly material fused in between to achieve the neoprene texture. The top layer is a beautiful paisley in cranberry-red, navy blue, light gray, umber and black (PANTONE 19-1338, 19-3938, 18-0724, etc.), while the underlayer is solid dark navy blue (PANTONE 19-4010). It has a smooth texture, a firm drape, and about 10% stretch in the width. Make a fitted dress or jacket, pencil skirt, etc. This comes from a NY designer sample room. Test first if you would like to wash at home.
