From Italian deadstock, this is a handsome shirting with a unique 'embossed' texture. A simple black and white classic with a twist! It is lightweight and semi-opaque with a plain weave and just a tad of stretch widthwise. The 'windowpane' plaid design (3.5" repeat) is slightly raised and puckered for excellent visual interest. It is printed in soft black on a soft white base. Perfect for sewing shirts, tunics, dresses and skirts, etc. Some styles may need lining or layering. Hand or machine wash gentle, in cold water and hang to dry (please test first).
