Italian 'violet reeds' wool crepe border print

A very limited gem! From Italian designer deadstock, this is a stunning, printed 100% wool crepe, a lightweight woven with a crepe texture and a floaty drape. The intriguing "violet reeds" design is reminiscent of river reeds with shades of black and a range of purple and plum tones. The design has a distinctive border running along the right selvage which is about 12" wide with a 15" vertical repeat and a 3.5" solid black border at the selvage. The wool content lends to a luxurious texture, and the print makes such a fantastic statement. Orient the border in either direction for a great number of design possibilities. Perfect for a blouse, shirt, skirt, dress, kimono-style robe, lightweight jacket, etc. Dry cleaning is recommended.
