French jacquard doubleknit - cream/black 'plaid' 2 yds

This eye-catching, yarn-dyed jacquard doubleknit made in France, has more stretch in the length than the width (about 30% lengthwise, 15% widthwise stretch), so it could be cut with or across the grain. It is medium weight and opaque with nice drape that has some body, and the "plaid" design (6.75" vertical repeat) features black and creamy white. It has two layers, and the top layer has a slightly dimpled surface texture, while the black underlayer (not meant to be seen) is more flat. Use for any pattern calling for doubleknit or ponte: a sheath dress or knit skirt, cardigan jacket, tunic, etc. Dry clean or test first if you would like to try hand washing, and lay flat to dry. 2 yds.
