I'm in love with this rustic (or rough hewn may be a better term)-looking fancy weave wool blend tweed just in with a new Fall 2014 lot from Italy, which has far more beauty and texture in real life. It has a mix of various fibers, some smooth with a slight sheen, some more wooly, some mohair-like, and it's woven in a basketweave that has a dusted or lightly laminated look due to this unique combination of fibers. It's soft and silky, not itchy. Is "sophisticated bohemian" a term? That sums it up! Either side could be used as the face, and it's a medium weight suiting that has a malleable drape with body. The coloring is medium gray, brown and soft gold, with a slight hint of metallic (PANTONE 18-4005, 13-1016...ish). Make a beautiful French tweed jacket, suit, skirt, etc. Dry cleaning recommended.
