From deadstock of the famous designer and made in Italy, this is a very beautiful and unique all-wool novelty woven. It has a thin, medium gray warp yarn and a thicker dusky berry weft yarn. The different sized yarns create a wonderful "bubble" texture, and it looks the same on both sides. It has a soft, dry hand, is nearly opaque, and about 10% give in each direction. Despite having a woven construction, this fabric would make an excellent cardigan or sweatery tunic. Also a great choice for a pullover, jacket, lined winter dress or skirt, etc. Dry clean, or if you wish to try hand-washing at home please test first, and lay flat to dry.
