From designer deadstock and made in Great Britain, this is an absolutely beautiful novelty weave in a medium weight. The mix of colors is reminiscent of shores of sea and soft rolling clouds. It has fibers of varying thicknesses and textures as well as fine metallic gold highlights woven in an intricate basketweave-like pattern. The design has a vertical repeat of about 1". The content is a blend of cotton and wool for a soft and cozy feel with a dry hand. This fabric is stable in both directions and just about opaque. The drape is more firm with body, and it has a white fringe about 1 inch long on one selvage which could be trimmed to make a great feature at the pocket or hem. An excellent choice for a lightweight jacket, topper coat, cape, skirt or skirt suit, etc. Lining is not necessary but would provide a beautiful finish. Dry cleaning recommended.
