French speckled, tweedy brushed wool suiting - plum

From designer deadstock and made in Italy, this is a beautiful quality tweedy woven fabric, a warmer suiting or lighter coating weight with a lightly brushed surface and body in the drape. It is mostly wool with a small percentage of synthetic fibers for a balance of comfort and durability. This fabric is substantial and opaque but not at all dense. The overall impression of the color is a plum, but with a closer look you'll find a range of speckled highlights in orange, yellow, blue, etc. Make a classic Chanel-style jacket, lined or unlined coat, vest, suit, dress or skirt, trousers, etc. Dry cleaning is recommended.
