From designer deadstock and made in France, this is a very beautiful brushed twill coating in a blend of wool and cotton fibers. The brushed face is extremely soft and fleecy, and the reverse shows a crisp rendition of the plaid design with a flat twill weave. This fabric is a modern classic, featuring a traditional tartan plaid but in an eye-catching orchid and black colorway. The plaid has a 7" repeat, a medium scale that makes a bold impression. Warm and cozy, substantial but not dense or stiff. Wonderful to work with as it is malleable and does not easily fray. Sew a lined or unlined winter coat, cape or jacket. Also appropriate for a warm winter dress, skirt or suit.
