NY designer matelasse knit - black/white swirl 1.66 yd

Another fabulous yarn-dyed matelasse' knit from a NY designer! The fabric has just a teeny bit of surface texture and the weight and drape are similar to a doubleknit with 25% widthwise, 20% lengthwise stretch. The lovely swirling design features slightly raised winter white areas and tweedy black recessed areas, while the reverse is a solid-ish black that is smooth and soft, but not meant to be seen. Make a fabulous sheath dress, knit jacket or cardigan, pencil skirt, knit suit, tunic, roomy pullover, etc. The drape has some body and it's quite a comfortable and versatile fabric! Dry clean, or test first if you wish to hand or machine wash and hang to dry. 1.66 yds.
