David Meister 'gathered' cream silk matelasse'

This fabric from David Meister is so exquisite! It's a matelasse' weave with a highly-textured face and a smooth and flat blacking. The texture is like a tight gathering or shirring and it is very stretchy yet stable (40% stretch in the width, 25% in the length), medium-light weight and opaque. The color is a creamy white (PANTONE 11-0602-ish). Note the narrow width, 34" which stretches comfortably to about 44". Best for body-conscious tops, blouses, tunics and dresses. Dry cleaning recommended.
