I'm in love with this beautiful cotton blend, yarn-dyed matelasse' knit from a NY designer and made in Italy! The fabric has a textured surface and the weight and drape are like a doubleknit with 15% widthwise stretch. I love the mod graphic pattern in black and off white. The fabric has a flaw--there are weak spots on the back of the fabric going down the middle length of the fabric, so you would have to cut your garment pieces around that. Since the fabric is so wide, that is easy to do for most patterns. Make a fabulous fitted dress, cardigan jacket, pencil skirt, knit suit, tunic, etc. The weight is extremely versatile and the cotton blend is SO comfortable to wear! Dry clean, or test first if you wish to hand wash and lay flat or hang to dry.
