Italian 'Toile de Jouy' cotton lawn - indigo/antique white

From Italian designer deadstock, this is a beautiful quality cotton lawn with a fantastically soft and smooth hand. The classic "Toile de Jouy" design (46" repeat) features pastoral scenery in inky indigo with sections of both warm and cool-leaning shades of antique white as a background. It is light as a feather and semi-opaque with a floaty drape. A wonderful choice for sewing shirts, blouses, dresses and skirts, shawls, or sheeting. Some styles may need lining or layering. Hand or machine wash gentle, in cold water and hang to dry (please test first).

PLEASE NOTE: while this fabric is 57" selvage to selvage, we are listing the cuttable width as 46" due to occasional printing flaws and it is priced accordingly. The flaws occur on the left side only and extend 11" or less from the left selvage.
