deadstock 'embossed foliage' spun silk jacquard

This is an exceptional find, a soft and drapey silk jacquard woven with an intricate, single color floral design. The hand is incredible, both soft and textured at once. The "embossed foliage" design (21.75" horizontal repeat, 13.25" vertical repeat) is beautiful yet understated. It is woven into the fabric, not printed, and becomes more pronounced in different lighting. The color is a dark gunmetal gray. This fabric is opaque and stable in both directions, and the jacquard weave adds an extra layer of visual interest. Perfect for sewing a dress or skirt, drapey shirt, blouse, tunic, etc. Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water with a few drops of gentle detergent. Air dry flat on a towel (Please test first!) or dry clean.
