This is a smart and stylish yarn-dyed 2-ply jacquard knit, a little lighter in weight and drape than a doubleknit and not as heavy or firm as ponte. The classic houndstooth graphic (.625" repeat) is knitted in cloud-white and black. The reverse side is a black backing which is soft and nearly opaque but not meant to be seen (so your garment may not need lining. It is opaque with a bit of body in the drape, and has 20% widthwise stretch, 10% lengthwise. It would be perfect for a tunic, cardigan, pullover, light knit jacket, top, sheath dress, skirt, cigarette pants, tunic, etc. So versatile!
