French 'plaid interrupted' wool blend woven - azure/spice

This is a fabulous and unique designer deadstock wool blend, medium-light weight with some body in the drape (no stretch). The printed "plaid interrupted" design (25.5" repeat) has a unique, asymmetrical look that elevates it from just another plaid to a statement piece, with unexpected, skewed angles that break up the design. The print only shows on the right side, and features azure, ocean, brick, green olive, honey, etc. (PANTONE 19-3869, 18-1433 but more red, 17-0627, 16-0946). The reverse has an antique ivory tone (the base fabric) and is not meant to be seen. Play with the direction of the stripes to make a great jacket, winter dress or skirt, vest, tunic, etc. The surface texture is "wooly", so a smooth lining (Bemberg or silk) may be desired. Dry clean or please test first if you want to try hand washing. Lay flat to dry.
