From designer deadstock and made in Italy, this is an exquisite special occasion 100% silk changeant, or "changeable silk" jacquard woven. It has an iridescent quality and a jacquard diamond pattern with a 2.75" repeat which mimics a quilted texture. It is fully opaque, has some crispness in the drape and is stable in both directions. It is a medium suiting or dressweight with substance but not at all dense. An absolutely stunning fabric that would make an eye-catching topper coat or jacket, sheath dress, poufy skirt, etc. While the reverse side is beautiful, lining is recommended due to the float threads. Dry cleaning recommended.
