Bravo to @_tim.wagner_ who's been sewing some fantastic overshirts with our Japanese selvage denim! He made great use of the decorative selvage at the top of pocket, inside placket, inside sleeve and hang loop. Beautiful Work! DENIM & DENIM LOOK FABRICS
@leslie.o.sews had been saving this printed French terry for "hoodie weather". Now that fall is in full swing, she sewed it up using the #PageHoodie pattern, which she describes as her "favorite little basic hoodie pattern and a nice sewing break from collared shirts". Leslie has a great eye for prints and is always up for a sewing adventure. So much fun! DUTCH DIGITAL KNIT PRINTS
"I've always wanted a Chanel-style jacket," Holly explains, "and finally had an occasion for one"! She sewed this fantastic piece for her brother & sister-in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary party, "I considered myself the guest of honor," she jokes "since I originally set them up (we were all children then ha ha)." She used an EOS boucle from a few years back and the Pattern is V8804. Happy anniversary to the couple, and brava to Holly for completing this ambitious project. BOUCLES AND FANCY SUITINGS
"It's not just for garments!" Says Holly..."The bench seat overlooks our koi pond so I had to have it!" KOKKA "TODOROKI KOI" DOBBY CLOTH
Elizabeth of @fitsewbeautiful created an unforgettable M.O.B. dress for herself for her daughter's wedding day using our special-order silk crepe back satin. She achieved the perfect fit, and her design includes pleats, godets, and a family keepsake at the neckline. A very special dress for a very special day! 100% SILK CREPE BACK SATIN
Elizabeth of the @fitsewbeautiful blog sewed this gorgeous cape with fabric # 92694 to demonstrate the Hong Kong lining technique. Read a fantastic feature of this garment and Elizabeth's process in the September issue of Threads magazine! MTM TASLON
We were floored by this @itchtostitch #WinterthurJacket that Nancy sewed up in our MTM water repellent Taslon fabric. "This pattern is for advanced sewists as there are so many details," Nancy says. "It's fully lined, there are 18 snaps/4 grommets to apply and a separating zipper. There are 38 pages of instructions and 127 steps!...Taslon was easy to work with...I love my new rain jacket and so happy I found this water repellent Taslon in a color that suits me. Now just waiting for fall and winter so I can wear it! Thank you EOS!" MTM TASLON
Ileen is wearing two garments she whipped up from her recent EOS order. These perfectly coordinating pieces are sewn with our vivid plum bamboo spandex jersey (fabric #83756) & floral viscose challis (sold out). "I love the colors and feel of these fabrics!" she says. What a perfect everyday style! VIVID PLUM BAMBOO KNIT
From Linda of EOS, this tunic is sewn from our "Moroccan Floral" viscose/spandex knit panel from Italian designer deadstock. She used one of her favorite TNT patterns which she has developed over the years, choosing cap sleeves and a scoop neck for this project. She placed the main color transition at the waist for a very flattering style that is visually interesting from top to bottom. This fabric is a wonderful viscose/spandex knit, light weight with lots of drape and about 40% stretch widthwise, 30% lengthwise. Linda used a single panel for her tunic, and this amount would also make a short sundress or skirt. Use 2 panels for a maxi dress or matching separates. "MOROCCAN FLORAL" KNIT PANEL
Linda of EOS sewed up this wonderful tunic made with our French yarn-dye embellished stripe novelty knit. This is one of her TNT patterns which she developed over the years, sewn this time as a sleeveless v-neck. This cotton blend yarn-dyed novelty knit from French designer deadstock has an elegant, small-scale embellished stripe pattern and about 25% stretch in both directions and great recovery. It would also make a great tee, top, twin set, or lightweight cardigan. FRENCH Y-D EMBELLISHED STRIPED NOVELTY KNIT
Hollianne has just completed the most beautiful dress sewn from our Emanue1 Ungaro 'sweetheart roses' silk taffeta! This is an all-silk, light weight woven with a crisp drape and no stretch. It is a stunning choice for a special-occasion gown, structured jacket, topper coat, pouffy skirt or a more tailored dress like what Hollianne has shared. 'SWEETHEART ROSES' SILK TAFFETA
This beautiful dress was just sewn by Kay S. with our French 'ombre knitting' viscose/spandex knit panel (EOS Fabric #91321)! The sewist explains: "The style was taken from a beloved T shirt and a dress by Eileen Fisher." Each panel is 1.75 yards long and this maxi dress just about uses the full panel she ordered. A very successful project indeed! 'OMBRE KNITTING' PANEL
Our pink blush 'matte hybrid' is looking good on the talented @sue_glasparrott ! She sewed this lovely top with a lace insert rather than buttons or loops, a creative tweak that really gives this garment a unique touch.
We carry 'matte hybrid' in over 20 colors, and it is a long-time customer favorite as it is incredibly versatile, wrinkle-free and easy care. 'BROWSE MATTE HYBRID'
@sewnonthemap 's most recent make is this gorgeous @closetcorepatterns #nicksdress sewn with our European paprika/maize stripe all linen woven (EOS Fabric #90842). Though she started with this pattern as a guide, she made many customizations as the project was underway to land on this fantastic result. She explains how the project was born when she found "the wonderful border print which is actually a length of vintage table runner found...Then a few months later I saw this wonderful striped maize and red linen/cotton blend on the EOS website. I immediately ordered a sample. Eureka! I loved it with the border print."
She lives in Florida and considering the weather made a switch from the long sleeves included with this dress pattern to short, working in some pintucks and then a cuff with a notched split in the center. The rest is history and it's now a part of her beautiful wardrobe!
Search "90842" at EOS to view this fabric (link in bio)
@leslie.o.sews always makes a splash with her well-crafted wardrobe. This lovely new make is sewn from our "flowery personalities" deadstock cotton shirting (sold out) using the Fibre Mood Oriana shirt pattern. "I made a couple last year using silk," she says "and thought I'd try one in cotton for a little more flounce in my sleeves". It works so nicely, and is most definitely not your typical button-down!
"You have no idea how much I love this fabric. It's like nothing else," says @mainelymenswear about his INCREDIBLE new balmacaan coat. This garment is artfully sewn with our beautiful quality European cross dye linen in bark brown with midnight weft fibers and a full bemberg cupro lining. He designed the coat to be roomy enough to wear over a jacket but also great just worn over a shirt, offering "just the right amount of 'slouch'". We agree, it is to die for!!! Don't miss all the very impressive details and careful workmanship.
The bark/midnight colorway is sold out, but browse comparable cross-dye linens through the link in our bio!
@jane.sews should be very proud of her recent work with our stretch viscose blend doubleweave crepe in a rich Bordeaux color. "After several toiles," she says, "I feel like I finally have a decent fitting pair of trousers"! She used the pattern Butterick 6910 and styled them with a simple but elegant shell sewn with Butterick 5984 in silk crepe de chine. It takes some dedication to hone in on the perfect fit, but there is nothing like a pair of custom-made trousers!
@solo3566 sewed up these very pretty cropped jeans in our lavender stretch denim with the Lander pattern by @truebias. The deadstock denim shown here has sold out, but our new, Oeko-Tex certified mid-weight stretch denim in lavender (EOS Fabric #91526) is very similar. It was so popular that it sold out immediately after posting, but is available for pre-order shipping late June!

@artsy_tiff is embracing the "cozy slouchy" look for Day 11 of #memademay24, and making it look good! Don't be fooled by the comfy appearance, these garments are masterfully sewn with a number of brilliant personal touches. For her sweatshirt, she used our organic cotton fleece-backed sweatshirt and rib knit by @mindthemaker. Make sure you view the details of this garment! She wore it with her @stylearc #bobpants sewn in a lightweight stretch twill, which she straightened the outseam on to create a different silhouette for this project. (Both fabrics are now sold out)
This new make from @kid_md is simply designed yet so beautiful! She used our floral knit panel print (sold out) with the Jalie Bobbie dolman pattern to create this unique and easy-to-wear top. "I love a good, quick knit top!" she says. She describes her project: "This is essentially a basic dolman tee, but the neckline finish, combined with modesty underarm coverage is brilliant. It's a two part top, with the neckline "facing" actually forming a sort of bralette underneath....I love how fun it is!"
@whip.stitch sewed up this awesome Drawstring Shift using the @leagueofdressmakers pattern and our "Good Vibrations" viscose challis woven. She made some modifications including the henley placket and she swapped the drawstring for a tie belt (both techniques included in the video by the pattern maker). She made us smile ear to ear when she commented that the fabric "acts and feels exactly like luxury silk and makes me want to weep because it’s so nice"!!! The colorway she is wearing has now sold out, but our sangria/tan is still available (EOS fabric #90467)
Another prizewinning jacket from Sheila...This one recently won 'best in show' at a sewing competition! The main fabric is a laser cut faux leather and she lined it with our 'concerto' viscose blend featuring a small-scale jacquard dot pattern. This lining fabric is a customer favorite because it is smooth and anti-static, easy to work with, and it comes in 4 versatile colors. View them HERE
EOS customer @windale shared this lovely dress she sewed for a friend using our Italian deadstock 'graceful garden' viscose pebble crepe woven (now sold out). The pattern is “Fernbird” from The Sewing Revival, which she lined and added a coordinating quilting cotton for the ruffles. She loves the way it turned out, and so do we!
From Sheila, who has recently earned well-deserved ribbons at the PA Farm Show. She says, "I like competing in sewing competitions like the MIWW contest and PA Farm Show. Keeps me & my sewing - on my toes". Her main fabric is our viscose/wool boucle' knit suiting in black (fabric #45595) combined with a glossy iridescent faux croc she had in her stash. This garment is complete with a silk faille backer, also used for the top yoke lining. The pattern is Very Easy Vogue V8263 and she needed no interfacing at all, depending on the rigidity of the croc vinyl at sleeve and shoulders to provide its wonderful shape. This talented sewist really took the time to think of every detail and what a stunning result!
Holly is sewing up some incredible garments with EOS fabrics for her niece who is expecting! You can't beat the gift of a custom fit for this time in your life, and what a beautiful design she has whipped up. Holly used our 'blue medallion' crinkle texture yoryu (fabric #90540) and New Look pattern 6672. This top is designed to fit throughout her pregnancy and the light and airy fabric is such a comfortable yet elegant choice.
New from @sylviemakesthings , an amazing #wbmastadress made up in our @mindthemaker "about a dot" sweater knit. The sewist first had plans to sew it into a sweater but switched gears to this fitted bodice dress with a slight flare, which was such a great choice! She explains: "I decided on a dress and I really love a boatneck. I did shorten the bodice because I wanted the waist seam to land closer to my actual waist...I love it with a belt..." MTM ORGANIC COTTON "ABOUT A DOT" SWEATER KNIT
Carol has completed a beautiful dress made with our French 'scattered flowers' printed cotton stretch shirting (sold out) and McCall's pattern 7084. The skirt was hemmed using a "Segmented Hem" technique described in the 2023 Threads article by Susan Khalje. Using this method, she finished it off with a hem that lands just below the knees, which suits her perfectly!
Another stunning make by Carol! For this dress, she used our Italian 'reaching blossoms' cotton voile and Vogue 1802 with features of V9373 and McCall's 7725 for a beautiful, one-of-a-kind design. This fabric is on special for a limited time only at 15% off! ITALIAN 'REACHING BLOSSOMS' COTTON VOILE
"Oh my gosh I LOVE this fabric!" says Holly. "I feel classier just looking at the top on my dressform!! 😂
Holly used the downloadable Burda Style pattern 04/2023 #112for this knockout top, which she sewed with our Pucc! graphic floral viscose lightweight jersey knit (sold out). Her wardrobe never stops expanding and impressing!
We were floored by this coat Shermane designed and made for her client. She used a deadstock black wool/cashmere coating in a classic jet black with a fleecy, soft texture (now sold out). As an accent, she used our viscose-backed supple faux leather in black (EOS Fabric #36491).
She explains her project: The hem is angular and comes from the points at the side front to a higher back, Imperial clamshell edge. The undersleeve is a thick rib knit for ease of movement as the sleeve is higher and tighter than a traditional coat. There are side seam pockets and the zipper goes to the top of the collar creating a funnel neckline.
Stunning results, our fabric really sings thanks to her skillful design and sewing.
Ginger is working up some magic with our hi-tech stretch crepe 'matte hybrid' in a vivid red (EOS Fabric #26838). "I love this fabric," she says, "It is so versatile". She made a top, skirt and pants all with this fabric for mixing, matching and coordinating with other garments from her wardrobe. She used the How To Do Fashion pattern No 7 Vanlose for this beautiful top. The matte hybrid collection is a wonderful choice for travel, dressing up with comfort or professional garments as it is soft, machine-washable and wrinkle-free!
Talented mom, Corie, made this fantastic dress for her lucky daughter with our "big cat stripes" doubleknit (fabric #86829). The pattern is Very Easy Vogue # V9022, and she styles it with a grey suede belt to define the waist as she prefers fitted dresses. Her daughter says, "I added the grey suede jacket...Grey tights and boots and I’m good to go (grey is my favorite color!)."
Beverly is building the most fantastic collection of me-made coats! Her latest is a fall/winter jacket made using our D&G "Crazy Love Story" quilted jacketwear for the body combined with our suede-backed supple faux leather (#86735) for the sleeves. She combined Simplicity 2285, using the vest pattern, and Simplicity 8554, view C for the sleeves. She added her own pockets and created a lining for the sleeves. "This jacket is going to be fun and functional for running errands or for any reason to be out in the cold," she says. Scroll through for more inspiration from Beverly's submissions from previous years!
These deadstock fabrics are now sold out, but search #86735 at EOS to view the faux leather she used.
When @leslie.o.sews showed her husband our Dutch 'alpine timberline' fleece-backed sweatshirt knit, he immediately knew he wanted a lined zip-up hoodie! It is truly the perfect way to use this uniquely designed, extremely comfy fabric. She used #Jaliepatterns 3884 but cut the front/back as a single piece so as not to interrupt the panel. It is fully lined with lightweight merino, which is not necessary for this fabric as it is fleece-backed, but elevates this hoodie to a handmade treasure with a beautiful finish. "The fleece is gorgeous and he's been wearing it nonstop" the sewist says! DUTCH ALPINE TIMBERLINE FLEECE-BACKED SWEATSHIRT KNIT
@see_dawson_sew is wowing us with how she sewed up our Italian brushstroke stretch corduroy into her #GingerJeans. She says, "SOMEONE in my family thinks these pants are too loud for teaching but I disagree." It could be her platforms, how she modified the pattern to flare slightly, or the pose she is striking, but something tells me she's the grooviest thing we'll see all day!
@sewingelle is glimmering in our 'urban montage' stretch velvet (now sold out). The sewist writes, "I’ve found the perfect dress pattern/fabric combo for going out to dinner - Stylearc’s Hedy dress and a drapey stretch velvet with beautiful sheen from @emmaonesock...Perfect if you like the eighties. And lots of room for enjoying delicious food!"
@sewingmaven is perfecting the art of the classic button-down with her own signature style. The sewist has made up this Butterick pattern #6026 in 3 colors of our Giza Egyptian cotton shirting. "It has beautiful sheen" she comments. This family of fabrics are woven using extremely rare long staple yarn, hand harvested and cultivated removing any irregularities or imperfections. It has a high breaking resistance and remarkable hand. A shirting weight with a high thread count, it is buttery soft with lovely drape. GIZA EGYPTIAN COTTON SHIRTINGS
We're a teeny bit obsessed with this ensemble from @blackwingedbird_makes who sewed her Elsa culottes by @gertie18 in our pink/yellow cross dye linen (Fabric #74233). Not only are these culottes gorgeous and unique, she raves about how comfortable they are!
@thesharonsews created this one-of-a-kind shirt for her lucky friend using Simplicity 8348 (a 1977 pattern!) and our embroidered dot shirting (sold out) paired with a thrift store find. She did have a litttttle trouble deciding whether to keep or gift this as she ended up loving it so much herself. Sharon jokes that a voice in her head said, "You can just keep it, she doesn’t even know you’re sewing it for her as a gift. You can always sew something else.” That thought was quickly followed with “but remember, your mother always told you when you give a gift you should give something that you love and will make someone happy.” Ever had that exact train of thought?!
@spoolriversewing is proudly wearing her "wedding guest dress minimal for the max", sewn from our metallic flower motif jacquard brocade (sold out). The sewist says: "This is my all-time favorite shift dress pattern for freedom to move and dance freely...Cynthia Rowley for Simplicity 2584 is perfect in its simplicity. I did change up the pattern a bit and eliminated the split neckline and added simple short sleeves." She added a China silk lining to make it wonderfully comfortable as well beautiful.
Holly made a hoodie to gift for her great-niece's birthday from one of our new Dutch digital printed plush furs. This print is called 'blooms and plumes' (Fabric #89453), and it features peacocks and flowers with a color story in moody blues on one side and an unprinted creamy vanilla back side. She used New Look pattern #6747 for this upscale hoodie, and all she needed to add from her stash was the ribbing. "The fabric is so luscious," she says, "I want one -or 20!!"
@sewingmaven had fun sewing up this top with our "life of a kitten" viscose woven (sold out). "😽 I'm one of those crazy cat ladies you have been warned about," she says. Whether you're a fellow cat-lover or not, you can appreciate how cute this turned out!

From the awe-inspiring sewing room of @demuredesigns comes a dress the sewist made for her own wardrobe. It's cozy, warm, and designed with an interesting little trick to achieve perfect pattern matching at the side seams! She used a jacquard knit purchased from us many years ago, and with a bold geometric pattern like this she wanted a nice transition at the seams. Rather than cutting her 3 main pattern pieces separately as usual, she laid them out as one continuous piece. This avoids the need to carefully match the pattern from piece to piece, and simplifies the side seams to less stitching ending with a dart. It's BRILLIANT!
@spoolriversewing is modeling her new make sewn with our M@x Mara viscose challis (sold out) and The Lynn Caftan pattern (Atelier Jupe and Bel’Etoile collab). The sewist says, "Lynn is ideal for no fuss (read no sweat) 🌞 summer celebration wear. Caftans are perfect with their easy breezy -yet lux and flowy style."
@slackerseamstress is beautiful in her new dress sewn up in our 'floral expression' viscose twill. She created the pattern herself, using the bodice of Mood's Darcy bralette pattern to emulate a RTW dress.
This lovely quality viscose twill is a substantial medium-light weight. It has a super soft hand and a flowing drape. A very nice choice for this garment!

Ann Rogers is right on trend with this pretty new dress sewn from our European linen/rayon stretch woven in raspberry. She says, "Here is a photo of a dress that I completed today made of fabric 88761 and lined with China silk. I used New Look pattern #6013. Since it's still quite hot here in Atlanta, I anticipate being able to wear it a lot during the remainder of the summer. I also like the fact that the dress can be easily dressed up or down."

@finishedseams has designed her wardrobe with a balance of core favorites and beautiful, unique pieces which effortlessly pair together for endless combinations! She describes some recent additions: "Who would have guessed that a linen fabric in a color labeled “country Dijon” would make such a great neutral wardrobe piece? I just finished sewing my nth Style Arc Kew pants in said color and to my utter delight it went together nicely with a lot of my previously sewn tops."
Here she used EOS Fabric #83219 (IN STOCK), a versatile medium-light weight and opaque beauty with some body in the drape. It is perfect for a summery dress, pants, skirt, overshirt, tunic, top, etc.
@andrea_djones soaks up the last bits of summer in her super versatile shirt made with our popular Giza 100% Egyptian cotton shirting. Another project from Linda, owner of EOS! This time she has used our reversible Italian speckled, tweedy jacquard 'twill' knit and a variation of her TNT dress pattern. She describes her process: "I put aside a piece of this fabulous double-sided fabric not knowing what I would make with it, but wanting to use both sides. I tossed it in the washer and dryer to pre-treat and it came out great. I did some draping and some planning and came up with this self-drafted design. The “belt” and the lower front bottom pieces were made from strips of the fabric sewn together to make a striped fabric. Starting to get my sewing mojo back and excited to try more experiments!"
Fabric #89122: in stock at $26.00/yard
Linda here, owner of EOS, trying to get my sewing mojo back! I got inspired to make a top out of three colors of the MTM Stray Lines, and first created a fabric from strips of three colors that I liked together. Then I strategically placed the top part horizontally, and the bottom on the bias. The pseudo belt was an afterthought, because I didn’t think the top was going to be quite long enough. I think the fix worked out better than the original plan. I even got some compliments when I wore it out last night, which is inspiring me make more stuff! 😃 VISCOSE MTM 'STRAY LINES' KNIT FABRICS

@sew.wound.up has hacked the #madeformermaidspatterns Scarlett dress for this beautiful rendition in our viscose/spandex single knit jersey in a deep teal (EOS Fabric #79871). It is Oeko-Tex certified, lightweight and opaque with beautiful drape. Very comfortable for warm weather garments like this!
From @sewnonthemap , a fantastic #V1851 jumpsuit sewn from our Mind the Maker viscose twill 'about a dot' in dark teal. The sewist says, "A few things on my jumpsuit, I shortened and widened the end of the sleeve so they end above the elbow, using a band cuff instead of elastic. Most importantly, I shortened the zipper so it runs from about an inch above the elastic waistband to the center back neckline. I have no trouble getting in and out of the pants portion with the elastic waist. I cut off three inches from the bottom of the pant legs before I hemmed with a generous three inch plus 1 inch turned under hem. I really love this pattern!"

@lizzieg_creative happily wears her new make, which was sewn with an EOS fabric from Rebecca Taylor deadstock (now sold out). The sewist describes her project: "I can’t remember the name of this pattern but it has really interesting construction where the back wraps around the sides to join the front panel and create the curved vents at the front." An interesting spin on a versatile garment!
"I’m back!" @finishedseams says! "I lost my sewing mojo for a bit there after spending some time on a holiday trip with family. These tops are fresh off the sewing machine and I’m so happy with how they turned out. My first time trying a Fibremood pattern and can’t wait to try more! I paired the top with my favorite Style Arc Kew linen pants."
Here she is wearing her new Fibremood Nona top in our Italian painterly silk/cotton/metal crushed voile, a sold out deadstock fabric with a wonderful texture and a very subtle sparkle. Her pants are sewn from our 'dusty apricot' medium-light weight tumbled linen (EOS Fabric #83220).
@sewblooms shared an amazing project she finished recently using EOS fabrics. This took a great deal of creativity and patience to put together, and she was rewarded with splendid results! This vest is constructed with a top layer of silk netting and a bottom layer of Egyptian cotton, and the layers are joined by free motion quilting. The seams were covered with seam tape and her edges were bound with knit strips. The button band was made from linen, and she chose button loops rather than buttonholes to better suit her particularly thick buttons.

The sewist points out that the side drapes can be worn in and out, which gives different silhouettes. This fabric is still in stock, and can be found on our popular Dutch cotton knit prints page.
@thesharonsews sewed up this Eureka Top during Me Made May and wore it the very next day! She used our 'quirky carnival toile' cotton pique' knit (sold out) for the front as well as the top section of the back, combined with a dotted woven from her stash for the back, arm and neck bands. A very fun pairing of fabrics. This project is a great reminder that knits and wovens can be used together to put a new spin on a favorite pattern!
From @finishedseams , "I loved my first Style Arc Kew pants so much that I immediately made another pair, this time in linen. This will be the perfect summer pants". She choice our Dusty Apricot medium-light weight tumbled linen (EOS Fabric #83220) for these amazing pants, and for her Sinclair Patterns top she used our black hi-tech stretch crepe 'matte hybrid' (EOS Fabric #26841). One of the most inspiring things about her wardrobe (aside from her incredibly skillful sewing) is how thoughtfully she introduces new garments so that they can be matched and styled in many ways with her existing pieces.
@artsy_tiff is sewing up some very nice wardrobe staples with a variety of EOS fabrics! For her first top, she used a TNT pattern she calls #tiffsbigshirt in our lightweight cotton stripe (sold out). Next, she wears her @grainlinestudio Alder dress in a fun painted linen which she bought from EOS as a roll end back in 2014! Last, she shared an impressive, self-drafted button-down sewn with our popular Giza shirting in natural white (Fabric #59717) and siri interfacing (Fabric #40757).
From @cashmerette , this wonderful dress is sewn up using our "woodcut shapes drapey viscose woven" and the just-released Franconia Dress pattern! This garment is shirred to perfection, and with comfort like no other! The Franconia Dress is a woven pullover dress with dolman sleeves, a bound v-neckline, and inseam pockets. Check the @cashmerette page for details on the pattern, and see our viscose page at EOS to shop comparable fabrics for your next project!
From @thesharonsews , who is modeling her gorgeous new make which is sewn up in our 'painted glass' Dutch knit using the @cashmerette Brattle Top pattern!
The sewist says: "Another twist-front tee sewn out of an amazing cotton spandex print. I found myself wearing my blue and white striped one so often, I knew I’d wear another one just as often. It looks great with jeans, as well as my denim skirt, and in this oppressive hot weather, you know I’ll be wearing this with a pair of shorts."
EOS Fabric #87569: Dutch digital 'painted glass 2' cotton knit, Oeko-Tex certified
Carol has found her groove with our Italian 'pucci-esque flame' linen-look cotton woven! The fabric has a linen-look slubbed texture in the weave, and just a bit of cottony crispness in the drape which makes it perfect for these breezy garments. This is gorgeous as a set, with the bonus to mix and match with other garments!
Patterns: V1869 pants & V1802 top
@slackerseamstress looks as gorgeous as the sunset in her new make using our 'layered leaves' rayon challis woven (EOS Fabric #87116)! The sewist writes: "Inspired by a dress from the Delfi collection, I used this funky, beachy print to create a simple slip-dress using the Brandi Joan Monroe dress pattern and a fringe...Super easy to sew, and the fabric didn't wrinkle after being in a suitcase!"
@therealbigsewalong created this amazing #validress by @patternfantastique in one of our Liberty Art Fabrics cotton lawns, "the perfect fabric for this dress" she says! The scale of this Orchid Festival Tana Lawn print makes a bold but elegant impression and, as she says, suits this pattern just perfectly!
*We no longer carry this line of fabrics
From @jenndumon , a fantastic #gilbertshirt from @helens__closet in our black on white clip dot cotton woven (sold out). "I’ve been saving this lovely fabric for just the right pattern," she says, "so when the Gilbert shirt came along it was a no brainer. As with all of Helen’s Closet’s patterns (mouth full) the instructions are fabulous and drafting spot on. Highly recommend this pattern if you’re interested in upping your sewing skills with a button up shirt."
As we take the day to honor the fathers in our lives, we wanted to share this wonderful image of a grandpa's dance with his granddaughter. Joy sewed this beautiful dress for the granddaughter using our vibrant floral knit and our purple Dutch cotton/spandex knit as a trim. The sewist says, "Here are photos of a dress that I drafted and made from the stash for a dance with grandpa...grandpa had to have a matching pocket square."
Happy Father's Day!
Another gorgeous dress by Lisa, this time made using an EOS floral viscose spandex knit and the Olympia dress pattern from Love Notions. She says, "I live in Florida, so this will be quite comfortable for the hot summers here". The vivid print was a fantastic choice for this garment, and the light and drapey feel of the fabric will definitely be a favorite for summertime.
@artsy_tiff says, "If you know me well, you’ll know that once I find a sewing or knitting pattern I like, I make a lot of it!" She's wearing her basic loose fit shirt pattern in a cotton/tencel blend (compare in-stock Fabric #77365), and #v8909 pants in white stretch denim. These new additions suit her so well, it's as if they were made just for her...Which of course they were!
Another stellar combination from @sewingmaven! The sewist says: "I think I did this Cone Denim justice making these jeans from @deer_and_doe_patterns Safran. The top is a wisteria color rayon jersey using Jalie 2806...3 afternoons ⏱️on the jeans." She has made this Safran pattern 3 times now, tweaking it for an excellent fit.
Linda K. continues to amaze us with her vision and creativity! She recently completed this full ensemble with EOS Fabrics. For the coordinating top and bottom, she chose our 'chic jaunt' drapey rayon twill (sold out) sewn with patterns Vogue 1415 and Vogue 1486. For the overshirt, she chose our lyocell twill in khaki-sage (fabric #66856) and Vogue pattern 8772. Casual elegance at its finest!
Lisa is perfecting the Recoleta Dress pattern by Itch to Stitch with 2 wonderfully different, medium-weight printed linens from EOS! The sewist commented that linen is a great fabric for this pattern. Excellent additions to a spring or summer wardrobe! (These fabrics are now sold out)
@perpetualufos used our Rache1 C0mey deadstock cotton 'gingham pucker' to make this wonderful dress inspired by the designer's RTW line. She used #v8811 as the base of the dress, but with a narrower bias skirt to achieve a look the sewist felt would complement her everyday style. "I’m really pleased with how it came out!"
@sewingmaven has made up the #fionaknittop by @stylearc three times now, her latest rendition in our beautiful 'abstract expression' wool blend sweater knit (sold out). Her choice of fabric makes this garment suitable as a cardigan or a lightweight jacket. It is whimsical and elegant all at once! The sewist wore this fully me-made outfit when recently celebrating her 42nd wedding anniversary ❤️
The lovely @jane.sews has shared her #closetcorenicks dress in an EOS rayon print. This 'bohemian glamour' style, as @closetcorepatterns describes it, has soft gathering and a slightly puffed sleeve. Lots of great options with this pattern, with a blouse and dress length and variations for each. Such a pretty and easy to wear garment!
Lisa is back with another beautiful dress sewn from an EOS Dutch digital cotton knit. She used the Entice Me pattern from Pattern Emporium and a sold-out print from our Dutch knit collection called 'blue tide'. She has done such a wonderful job with this series of dresses, which are easy to wear but also easily dressed up and can be enjoyed throughout the year!
@whip.stitch wrote "Suuuuuper late night sewing means I get to wear my new #coppeliacardi today!" She used a roll end of our olivine heather lightweight rayon jersey 4-way for this ballet-style wrap cardigan. It's so lovely on her, and this style of cardigan can be worn alone or layered with a top or tank.

Jane is wearing our trusty charcoal rayon blend ponte, sewn up into pants and a jacket using Pamela's patterns designs. This versatile set has gotten lots of use since she bought the fabric last year. It's a high-percentage rayon blend with stretch and terrific recovery. A classic style that matches everything!
*In Stock* EOS Fabric #50696: 4-way stretch rayon blend ponte - charcoal
Carol R. has been making some gorgeous dresses with our Dutch digital knits. Here she is wearing our 'fathoms and facets' cotton knit (EOS Fabric #87272) sewn with pattern #M6922, which she has also sewn into a sleeveless version and long sleeve as well. "It's super comfortable and is very flattering for my full bust," she says, "I added godets to this version and rather than a hi low hem, I have a slight handkerchief hem". She has yet another version planned with an altered neckline, so stay tuned as she hones this TNT pattern with this favorite fabric collection.
Holly, who you may recognize as our "roll end queen" shared this great top sewn from our ottoman-textured rayon blend. The rib texture is on the "right side" only, with a smooth texture on the reverse, so it makes for a very cozy and comfortable garment. Holly has a knack for turning small yardages into excellent wardrobe staples, and she never stops exploring new ways to do so!
Lisa is working through her stash, modeling a beautiful Itch to Stitch Recleta Dress here sewn up in our 100% linen digital print. She has enjoyed creating different versions of this dress, and comments that linen is a great choice of fabric for this pattern. This 'poppy paradise' print is now sold out, but visit our Linen Digital Prints Collection for a selection of comparable products.
With some careful planning, @pamsclosetinc created this spectacular set of jacket and top coordinates using our yarn-dye novelty stripe knit and OOP Burda pattern #2569. She decided to change the direction of the stripes on the top and jacket, and lined up the repeat of the stripes for perfect symmetry at the jacket closure.
This stunning jacket was sewn by Silvana in our bouquet floral viscose-backed supple faux leather. "I've been sewing with your lovely fabrics for a long time," she says. She used a vintage pattern from the early 1940's to create this look with the faux leather she purchased from us a few years back. It's an outstanding garment, wonderfully designed and constructed.
This fabric has since been discontinued, but visit our Faux Leather Collection for comparable products in a range of colors.
@cynthiatomlindesign created this very special @PapercutPatterns Nova Coat using our stylized jungle dot Jacquard. She made some adjustments to the pattern to make the fit just right. An artfully designed piece!
Another gem from Linda K., who is on a roll with her skillful sewing! This time she sewed up a set in our Dutch fairisle-style sweater knit (sold out) using Butterick 5948 for the top and McCalls 8055 for the skirt. And to use every bit, she made up a coordinating scarf which makes the set even more special.
Linda K. is back as 'lady in red' with her latest make in our 'demi knit' rayon blend textured sweater knit! She continues to amaze us with her endless motivation and sharp sense of style. The knit she used here is a medium-light sweater weight that has a wavy ribbing on one side and a plain knit stitch on the other. A fun substitute for your classic rib knit, and in a color that really pops!
*In Stock* EOS Fabric #87457: 'demi knit' rayon blend textured sweater knit
Another fantastic make sewn with our floral paisley rayon blend sweater knit, this time by the lovely @magistralatina . "A true Frankenpattern" she says! She used The Dress Formerly Known As Neenah (#seamworklenny, #seamworkneenah) but cut it to tunic length, then hacked with the #seamworkhollis bishop sleeves and a #mimiggeorgia mock neck. She paired it with her TNT skirt pattern, the #seamworkmargo for this coordinated set. Sewing in sets is a great way to maximize the possibilities of your handmade wardrobe, because you can always wear them together or mix and match for a completely different look.
*In Stock* EOS Fabric #86826: floral paisley rayon blend sweater knit - dusty plum
This was a part of the 'winter uniform' @elmeretakespictures loved this past season. It's an #lbpullover in our lightweight but warm cashmere blend sweater knit (purchased years back). She describes some adjustments to the pattern: "I tend to push my sleeves up a lot, so I made a casing for 2-inch elastic at the cuffs. I also interfaced the entire collar, which I at first thought was overkill but actually really like how it continues to hold up, so I’d repeat if I found another fabric to make this in again."
This was worn almost weekly in the cold months since, she says, yet the elevated quality of the fabric and her handiwork resulted in a garment that remains beautiful after being well-loved.
Susan sewed up some amazing fitted slacks in our Italian leopard print cotton stretch twill. She says, "It is just the right amount of stretch -- feels like jeans, but very comfortable to move around in". This wonderfully unique twill is medium weight with a somewhat crisp yet malleable drape, much like printed denim. The perfect choice for this project!
EOS Fabric #87421: Italian leopard print cotton stretch twill, In stock at $28.00/yard
Super talented @thesharonsews sewed up this top in an EOS rayon graphic knit and it came together beautifully and quickly! The sewist says: "My second twist front knit top! This is another version of new @itchtostitch Zakopane knit top. Such a quick sew!" She admired this style of top in RTW fashion, but being an avid sewer she preferred to choose her own fabric and custom fit. As she points out, some of the many rewards of sewing your own!
Linda K. is wearing her wonderful new garment sewn with our tribal graphic stretch jacquard (EOS Fabric #86975) and #Butterick6142 as her pattern. This cotton blend jacquard suiting has a bit of stretch and lots of fantastic texture, and it translates just perfectly into this semi-fitted jacket!
From @sewornery , a gorgeous boatneck top sewn with our Mondrian cotton/lycra knit (Sold Out) and a bonus tank made with her remaining yardage. This soft and substantial knit lends itself well to her chosen patterns, and she found this #blommatank a very satisfying scrap-busting pattern! "Most of the time scrap busting is more of an ambition than a reality for me," She says, "since I rarely have enough to make a new garment and am not skilled at piecing. This pattern is easier because you can make the trim out of a contrasting fabric, or even piece together fabric for the front and back".
