From designer deadstock and made in Italy, this is reversible rib sweater knit in a cotton/wool blend. A heavier weight knit, it is opaque and cozy but not dense feeling. The wide rib stitch and slightly fuzzy surface provide wonderful texture. The yarn-dyed scallop pattern on the face has a 4" vertical repeat, and the same colors form a beautiful stripe on the reverse. Since this fabric is truly reversible, there are endless design possibilities! It is a fairly stable knit with about 10% stretch in both directions. Perfect for tops, tunics, sweaters, a cardigan, sweater dress, comfy and elegant separates, scarf, hat, etc. Hand or machine wash gentle and lay flat to dry, but always test first.
