From Italian designer deadstock, this is a lovely jacquard sweater knit (tightly knit), similar in weight and drape to a doubleknit and not as firm as ponte. The yarn-dyed "concentric" design (5.5" repeat) is knitted in gray with touches of metallic silver on a black background. The back side is a mélange of both fibers, with a metallic sparkle throughout and the same soft texture as the face (the circle pattern shows through a bit from the front). It has 20% stretch in the width only, and is opaque with some body in the drape. It would be perfect for a tunic, cardigan, pullover, light jacket, top, sheath dress, skirt, knit suit, etc. Dry clean or please test first if you wish to try either hand or machine washing (cold), and hang to dry.
