Italian fine weave wool/silk stretch woven - deep plum

This is an exquisite cloth from a NY designer, a wool/silk, semi-opaque stretch woven with fine and delicate fibers in an intricate, high twist weave. The grain is elusive and unstable, which adds to its "allure"! It will require careful layout and cutting; well worth the effort for this elegant and sophisticated beauty which will look great in a variety of very simple and drapey silhouettes (think Eileen Fisher!). The deep plum color is gorgeous (PANTONE 19-2009) and it has about 15% stretch in the width only. This high end beauty can go from summer to winter, day to evening, with effortless style. Dry cleaning is probably best.
