From a NY designer, this chunky cotton ribbed sweater knit is substantial with a soft drape that has some body. It is opaque, with about 40% widthwise, 20% lengthwise stretch. The coloring is a tweedy mix of black and ivory and the reverse shows a purl stitch and a flatter texture. It's a wonderful all-season basic that is perfect for a cardigan, roomy tunic or pullover, sweater dress, etc. Test first if you wish to hand wash and lay flat to dry, or dry clean.
