Italian wool/cotton blend jacquard brocade - floral twill

I've been admiring this fabric for a long time, and finally broke down! It is a stunning Italian jacquard brocade, a medium suiting weight with a wonderfully supple drape that has body. It combines fine black wool warp fibers with warm gray cotton chenille yarns in the weft, along with smooth viscose fibers that create the gunmetal and black floral design and the diagonal "twill" stripes (PANTONE 18-0000, 15-1305, etc.). The overall texture is almost like a supple and soft corduroy, or a cozy sweater fabric (but it's a woven, no stretch) and the design is so sophisticated. This fabric is perfect for an indoor jacket, drapey or structured, a very cool topper coat, long vest, skirt, etc. Dry clean only. (Sells for $89.00/yd in NY.)
