From a NY designer, this is a wonderful Italian yarn-dyed, mostly wool doubleknit with a black and ivory "dashy" design on the face that resembles a basketweave, and a tweedy look on the reverse that can be used as contrast. This wonderful fabric is medium weight and opaque, soft and warm with lovely drape. It has about 20% stretch in the width and 15% in the length. It's perfect for a thicker cardigan, sweater jacket, sweater dress or tunic, knit suiting, etc. Test first if you wish to hand wash, and hang or lay flat to dry, or dry clean. LAST PIECE, 1.375 yds.
