First thing about this fabulous fabric is that it is impossible to photograph! It's so much more wonderful in real life. From a NY designer, this is a substantial black scuba knit with a velvety texture on the face and a metallic dotty stripey graphic overlay in gold and silver tones. It has about 25% widthwise stretch and a 4.75" pattern repeat. The overlay has an ombre' element with thinner and thicker lines, and it has a reflective sheen that looks like gold leaf. It is an eveningwear fabric, and is perfect for any garment that would call for a firmer and more substantial scuba: structured jacket, dress, skirt, evening coat, etc. Dry clean or test first if you wish to wash at home.
