From a NY designer and made in Italy, this fabric is spectacular. It's similar to the yarn scramble fabrics that are created through a special felting process that adheres (without glue or fusing) the yarns to each other in a scrambled, tweedy design. The reverse is a flatter and more simple knit stitch. It is medium weight and stable in both directions, with a density that makes it cozy and warm. The colors are a tweedy mix of spice tones: nutmeg, cinnamon, curry, etc. with flecks of winter white (PANTONE 18-1030, 17-1330, 19-1015, etc.). More "firm" than drapey, although it's soft and malleable and has uniform thickness throughout. Perfect for an indoor or outdoor artsy jacket or coat, and it doesn't fray! Distinctive and beautiful with a rich coloring. Dry cleaning recommended.
